Danger posed by Mold

Are we aware of the dangers posed by molds, to people living in damp environments?  In many countries,  there are damp conditions for a large part of the year, and such conditions lead to growth of many toxic varieties of molds. In modern architecture, the buildings are designed to be made watertight. This is good but to meet this many times ventilation and air flow are sacrificed. It further adds to conditions that support mold growth. Sometimes, plastics and styrene, used as construction material, can also help mold growth. Such conditions, when coupled with defective construction, lead to serious mold related health hazards for the occupants of such living space.
